Family Law and Civil Litigation

Mr. Mudgett is a member of the firm’s litigation team, working closely with Mr. Jassim.  He has successfully represented clients in the areas of general civil litigation, criminal litigation, personal injury, family law, and small claims among other practice areas.

Prior to joining Preovolos & Associates, Mr. Mudgett worked in the product defect defense department of Snell & Wilmer, LLP, in Irvine, California.  Mr. Mudgett also worked for King & Kennick, LLP, in Huntington Beach, California, specializing in premises liability insurance defense.

Mr. Mudgett earned a double Bachelor of Arts in Law & Society and Psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and his Juris Doctor from Chapman University School of Law in Orange, California.  While in school Mr. Mudgett was the three-year President of the Jewish Law Student Association, received the CALI Excellence for the Future award in the field of Legal Ethics, and worked as a certified law student for a solo practitioner in Irvine, California, practicing general civil litigation.  He continues his legal education by attending seminars, workshops, and classes on a regular basis.

Mr. Mudgett is a member of the State Bar of California and is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court, Central and Southern Districts.  He is an active member of the Cardozo Law Society of San Diego, the American Bar Association, and the San Diego County Bar Association, maintaining membership in the Family Law section.

Mr. Mudgett played high school and college football where he received the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame Scholar Athlete Award and was named All Western State Conference Lineman of the Year.  Currently, he is actively involved with Young Israel of San Diego, enjoys a wide variety of athletic activities including mixed martial arts and cycling, and enjoys traveling and working with computers.
